GMC 2.5 ton truck with 40mm Bofors

By Warrink Brothers
Started: Aug 11, 2003

This is Tamiya's GMC with a Masters Productions conversion set to make the 40mm Bofors variant used by the Free French in late ww2. Both kits are very good and everything goes together well. I have written a review on the conversion set which you can find here: http://www.track-link.net/reviews/k1162

Chapter 1 - Cab detailsAug 11, 2003
Tamiya's cab is nicely detailed, but there's always more to add! I added pedals (the pedals are moulded to the cab floor, typically Tamiya), an arch of bolts on the dashboard, extra reinforcing ribs between the dashboard and the cab sides (the ones painted green), and the rings and swivels for the door slings. The gearstick was replaced with plastic rod because I had snapped the kit part in two!
