GMC 2.5 ton truck with 40mm Bofors

This is Tamiya's GMC with a Masters Productions conversion set to make the 40mm Bofors variant used by the Free French in late ww2. Both kits are very good and everything goes together well. I have written a review on the conversion set which you can find here: http://www.track-link.net/reviews/k1162

Chapter 5 - Construction Finished!Dec 8, 2003
The GMC is now finished. I added the load beds, stowage boxes, spare barrel and the mudguards/wheel brakes. Some parts of the rear load bed were replaced with plastic card because the kit parts did not fit well.

The spare barrel didn't fit well, so I packed up the rear mounting clamp about a millimetre. The resulting gap between the cloth cover and the load bed was filled with Milliput. The windscreen with cover comes with the kit.
I found out that I put on the girders for the mudguards upside down. Oh well..:-).

All that remains to do now is painting it.
