I needed to do something different to off set the "Smart kit" syndrome so I looked through some of my books and thought of some of the models out there and came up with this one. I am using the Zvezda T-34/76 as the base kit and the Maqutte T-34 1940 kit for its early wheels and link to link tracks. Both kits did not cost that much and the Zvezda kits is not a bad model. On the other hand the Maquatte kit is only good for some of its parts. I will be building the tank seen from the Squadron T-34 book since the Zvezda kit comes with the exact decals to match.

| Lower Hull | Jul 21, 2006 |
Here's the lower hull. I added Mr. Surfacer 500 with a Q-Tip which I kept dabbing it on to make this area rough to represent dirt.
The wheels are from the Maquette Kit and you can see the inside hubs are remove along with the tip of the axel so the wheels will align with the drive wheel and return roller for correct track placement. |
