I will be building in this Blog the very nice Tristar Panzer IV Ausf. D "Tauch". I will be using Saul Garcia's review found here: http://www.track-link.net/reviews/k1757 I will use this review as my guide and I will be referring to it as I build if needed. The instructions are much easier to follow and read than the DML Panzer IV Ausf. E kit which are very confusing.
My plan is to build the kit as a Ausf. D, not the Tauchanzer version. I will build the kit in the 15 steps the instructions show. I will show a scan of the assembly step from the instructions and a photograph of the assembled parts for that step. |

| Steps 7 and 8 | Jan 1, 2007 |
| Step 7 has one add the glacis and front towing points. Depending on the version being built, add a locking clamp or the stud or none at all. The next Step 8, add the engine deck door and rear vertical plate. The hinges have been corrected on both hulls as well as the doors. Again pay close attention to the version being built as there are different parts for the air intake seals and covers. I found that the PE intake covers must overlap to fit. Parts C-1 through C-4 are tricky and should be test fit so they will be inserted correctly. |
