Paul,
Kolinsky-Tajmyr Sable are suitable for acrylics and water based paints. You could use it for oils too. Of course, if you are a perfectionist than you should never use different paints on the same brush i.e. Oils/Mineral based with Water/Alcohol based.
I've tried it on Tamiya, Andrea & Vallejo so far and it's great.
