How can we be sure that the rebuilt vehicle is accurate? Isn't it better to have historic photographs. As for the re-enactors... just don't get me started.

For my money the best modelling reference books are the Nut & Bolts books. They go to great lengths to explain the historic photos and any modifications done to the museum exhibits. They are written by model builders.
