There is nothing wrong with copper which I also got at Arricks and see lots of uses for but I think the lead tends to form better and gives a good appearance for hose and cable. Just my opinion of the apperance.

Arricks Fly Shop provided quick service and the products a very good at what I felt was a reasonable price. The smallest lead and copper they sell is 0.4 mm which scales nicely for many features on an AFV.

That being said I have noticed what appears to be a very inordinate amount of fear expressed over the occasional contact with certain materials used in modeling. I do not share that fear as I have had contact with all these material throughout my LONG life. If it was my job to work with these materials on a daily basis for 20 years I would certainly have some concerns about the effects and needed protections but to have a hobby that I would encourage all young people to share with me I would have to give some reasonable thought to the real amount of exposure involved. I suppose that I realize that where I live I am 1000 times more likely to die in a vehicle accident than from hazardous exposure. It seems we have become a world society that is driven be a need to be afraid of every thing we do including our hobbies which we should be enjoying without the nagging of fear. At least I do.
