Is the Alumilite fresh? I've found it's only good for about two years once opened.
Cleaning the mold with detergent and water then denatured alcohol.
The way I use talc is to pour it into the mold, swish it around, then dump it out, tap the mold to get more out, and blow the mold out (by mouth) so that there is just a dusting. This works more as a "bubble breaker" or surfactant rather than mold release.
