Hi Paul,
You could also try putting the two bottles of Alumilite ( never liked the stuff ! ) in the refrigerator overnight - as this delays the curing time long enough to allow the resin to properly flow into the mold pattern, try gently squeezing the mold after pouring the resin as this will "burp" any excess air to the surface - good luck !
