Hello Robert!
No super secrets here. Most of the PE bending is done with the 2in hold and fold, and an Ausfwerks Fender bender for the large stuff. Hinges are done using Aber's hinge jig. When feasable I solder all PE. It's the only thing that holds and holds and holds. For PE to plastic I have been using CA and epoxy, but in this case I tried some hot glue gun sticks. I used a dental mini-waxer to apply it and secure it, but a small tip soldering iron with a variable temperature control could be used as well. I tried to use it for PE to PE, and it does work and is more shock resistant than CA, but no where close to solder. My solder of choice is Tix from micromark, and regular Silver solder from the hardware store. The tix is a low melt while the silver is hi melt. By using two differing temps solder I can do multiple joints, very close together and not worry too much about heat sinks. When sinks are needed I have been using smooth alligator clips from radio shack (Thanks to Ted Herman from Ausfwerks for that tidbit!)
