Hi,
Fine brass or copper wire is suitable. Have a look at places that sell different sizes of elecrical cable.
To make the wire pliable, either copper or brass, needs to be annealed.
Pass the wire through a candle flame (non smokers), cigarette lighter for us non PC mortals. Careful it will get hot! It should glow red hot, either let it cool down or plunge it into water. You will see that the wire has lost its spring, and can be shaped to suit.
For spark plugs, one idea is to heat thin plastic tube, same as stretching sprue, but carefully, as it is possible to get a thin tube as a result. Alternatively, heat the tube, and stretch it as before, short sections at a time, but have a piece of wire inside the tube, luckily after a few tries, you will have very thin tubing.
