I have wired a couple of engines in 1/35th scale, I felt like it was a must having cut my teeth as a car modeler. Ignition wire in this scale is quite smal. I have saved the old electrical motors from old Tamiya motorized tank kits. The copper armature wire in these motors is excellent for this purpose being less than .010 inch thick. You might try other old electricl appliances as a source for very fine wire, I hope this helps,
