Hello Frank,
Ryton Publications volume "Schützenpanzer" has some interesting pics on the 251/20.
Two are revealing the "long roof" on the vehicle, as opposed to the "short roof" that is discussed by Terry Ashley in his review of this kit.
So apparently two versions of the 251/20 existed alongside each other.
The one with the short "Falke roof" or standard driver's roof panel as it is called in your pic.
And a version with the extended roof, Part L-19 in the Uhu kit.
With the Long Roof L 19 in place, the question of the generator becomes academic because nothing can be seen of it.
Based on the Ryton pictures I feel authentically safe enough to use the long roof on my version of the Uhu.
But first I like to concentrate on the IR searchlight.
Still looking for some answers on my initial question.
By the way; can you give me the url to the Leadwarrior site where the good pictures are?
All I can reach on that site is a page with two not-very-helpful shots of resin parts sofar.
