Here is the weld reworked again. I did not like the flat look to it in the previous photo so I poked and prodded at it again to create more of a mounded look to it.
You will notice a white line on the inside of the weld on the gun mantlet. On the Dragon model there is a gap here so after glueing the gun components together, I stuffed a strip of 0.020"x0.010" strene in and tried to blend the weld bead.
Next up to to test out creating rough sheet steel on the outside surface of the turret. I have to let the weld putty dry for a few hours first.
