I'm not sure that the turret swap is as much an issue as the fact that presumably "all" M4A3 hulls were shipped from the US with the raised arm suspension.
So, to me at least, the question is how likely is it that this M4A3 hull--supposedly equipped with raised suspension arms--ended up having all except one of them replaced with straight arms?
I suppose they could have been pulled off an M36 or M36B2 along with the turret, but that would suggest significant problems with the M4A3's original suspension units.
I'm still scratching my head here....
