It will take a lot of work,as the parts from Italeri and Tamiya doesn't interact i.e the chassis and cab assy is diffenrent.
It can be done by using only the cab from italeri and the hood parts from Tamiya,but it is fiddly.(believe me I did it)
The easy way (and expensive) is to buy the closed cab from Masters production it fits the Tamiya GMC
