| Subject: | FAMO&SdAnh 116&earthspade question | |

Well, being a lucky owner of Tamiya FAMO&SdAnh 116 trailer kit I’m on way of collecting documents about this combo in action. I’m still waiting for the Nuts&Bolts #12 when it will finally arrive to my local model shop. Is there anybody who can tell me if the Famo with its earthspade fitted to the rear of superstructure could safely tow the loaded SdAnh 116 trailer? Even with the main swingarm installed and the shovel unbolted and stored in the Famo cargo flatbed? I wonder if it was safe to make turns when Famo was so-equipped?
I know from my search in articles on Track Link that this situation was not quite possible. Are there in N&B and other books any photos proving that Famo spade was installed during towing the trailer? In case this would be possible, I must assemble the spade at the time of Famo construction, following the instructions of Tamiya Tank Recovery Set it is not possible to add the spade to the prime mover after complete Famo assembling.
Not to mention, that I of course depending on situation should or shouldn’t buy the Tamiya tank recovery set.
Sorry if this question was posted earlier here,
Thanks for help,
Peter |
