I got the "Track Builder" from Tasca. It is a jig for holding ModelKasten 1/35th scale M4 tracks for assembly.

The main problem with the Kasten M4 tracks, besides being very tedious to assemble, is that it is difficult to get the end connectors and pads to line up correctly while the glue is setting.

The jig holds each track pad bottom while the pins are laid on top, the top pad half is then glued in place. When the pad halves are dried the end connector can then be glued in place.

The length of track has to be removed from the jig so that the end connectors on the other side can be glued in place, along with those little rivets.

The tool doesn't really speed things up, but it does remove some of the "fiddling".

Paul.
