| Subject: | AFV Club M115 Howitzer HELP | |

I am constructing an AFV Club M115 8” Howitzer and some things on the spring & axle carriage make me nervous. The plan shows the backing plates for the brakes not glued to the axle housing which looks like it would allow the backing plate to turn with the wheel when the two pins that would hold the backing plate are removed as shown on the plan. In fact they have so many items not being glued I wonder how it will stay together. The purpose of all these un-glued joints is not mentioned and since to limber carriage wheels are fixed I can’t see why the spring & axle carriage would be loose allowing the wheels to turn.
My model will be static in transport position with a prime mover pulling it. Has anyone worked out the gluing thing? What am I missing? |
