I am currently building the “Early M4” by Tamiya and have it built except for the tracks which I ordered and was waiting for. They arrived #35038 and look very good; they also include the “Duckbills” which appear to be optional. Great set except to the directions.

The first question deals with the “arm” that is referred to on the back of the box which are the only instructions included with the tracks. I never saw any reference to an arm in the model instructions. What “arm” are they referring too?
The back of box instruction vaguely refers to some spacers in the drawings at the bottom of the box. Neither the Track set nor the Model provide anything that looks like the spacers shown. The instructions indicate the gluing of the track link to the track pad in a manner that may mean to be optional or that you are to glue one side and leave the other pin free. (Only glue the leading pad and leave the trailing one free.)

Also without the spacers is there a fit problem if I leave the Duckbills off? Can someone with some track experience give me some hints on how this assembly works?

I read the review by Paul White but his comments were more to the appearance and not the assembly problems.
