When I need to use CA over a long work period, I've found that the best pallet for it is not a piece of scrap styrene, a coin, or the lid of some paint bottle. I heard from someone that a small slip of aluminum foil is the best pallet. It allows your few drops of CA to remain liquid for a remarkably long time.

I just take a small square(2" x 2") and form it over a Humbrol paint tin. I press in the center indentation and then squirt a few drops of CA onto that. It works great. Try it!
