Hi Patrizio,

you could also try dried plants, many used in gardens similar to cotoneaster, but with smaller leaves and branches. Many weeds or bushes have grouped flowers with fine pentals, they look also very good. You can dry them or treat with glycelin (more info on the net).
These can work very well in small amounts too, but you have to find the right shape/size. Laser cut papers look very good though as well.
