Both Dragon's Panther II and Panther F are 1) very old Dragon kits and 2) very poor.

From the bottom up, the roadwheel spacing is incorrect. Not sure how they got that wrong, since the chassis is still in existance at the Patton Museum at Ft. Knox.

The engine deck is incorrect too. The real tank did not have the raised Panther G crew compartment heater housing. It had two King Tiger type engine deck fan housings. The photo-etch screening in the kit is incorrect to... even for a Panther G it should have normal mesh on the left two rectangular vents and mesh with baffles only on the right side opposite the heater. Aparently one real tank was fitted with four baffled screens post-War and shipped to the USA for eval. But the Panther II never had the raised heater or the baffles used in conjunction with the heater housing...

There was no such thing as an 88mm Schmallturm. The kit Schmallturm, based on the 75mm one from the Panzer II is the wrong size and is too big... so bit it overhangs the sides of the turret. Much detail is lacking or incorrect based on the real and well photographed (and surviving) 75mm turret.

The tank as-built lacked the transmission cover, hatches and turret. As it is today its fitted with a Panther G turret and hatches. Sources vary as to whether they were fitted by the Germans or the US after the tank was captured incomplete.
