Gorilla Glue is used quite often as a plumbing repair for leaky pipes.
It DOES expand 3-4 times as it sets. You should be very "thrifty"
in the amount that you use.In many cases a little bit of watter misted or brushed onto one surfce will act as a catalyst to start the bonding. The glue turns white and solidifies after a while.Hence the precautions about using very little to glue Photo Etch parts.
I originaly bought some to repair a main pipe in the basement.
You are cautioned not to get any on your skin or clothing.
Let me just say that you should believe the cautions.
The pipe was sealed-no leaks- and has not had to be replaced.
I have NOT tried it for modeling purposes yet but it might be a decent gap filler too.I think I would try it on an older sacrificial kit first though.
A small bottle will likely last the average guy many years plus two.

Don't ever let your kids use it or you will be spending quality time in the Emergency Room while they come to realise they shouldn't play the "I'm Not Touching You Game"with Daddy's glue.
