Hi,
I second using the Dremel tool at low RPM or you just melt the plastic.
The screwable chuck is sold from Dremel too. I have mine configured this way. I chose the corded version of the machine instead of the cordless because I would use the machine in other things, not just hobby, so, sometimes I need to use it for an extended period of time.
There are some substitutes to the tools they sell. Some ar eok, some not.
I ended buying engraving tools to help up building certain parts, they're just awesome!

Also, don't forget googles, protect your eyes.
