Tim,
By all means, give the glues being discussed a try, but there is a CA option many people don't know about. The RC car guys had a special CA developed for them. They need to be able to hold parts on their plastic car bodies under high impact and extreme vibration, so they had a CA glue made that actually has rubber in it. It is black. You CANNOT use zap with this stuff (tends to ruin the effect), but it will allow you to dry-brush right over a tool hanger glued to your kit with this CA. I built a model with it 8 years ago, and the PE is all still in place and holding strong.
