These guy's started life as a company called Cal Scale. I'm not sure about any of their new releases but the majority of their products are 1/32 scale. While they are in 1/32 scale the detail is very good especially on their ammo boxes with the belt feeding into the appropriate gun. If you can live with the discrepancy in diffrent scale, they are very nice in my opinion. If I remember they had quite a range of both .50 cal and .30 cal U.S. machine guns, ammo boxes, tri pods, etc in a number of diffrent combinations.
Some of the newer manufacturers resin and photo etch or machined brass are more detailed, and usually in 1/35 scale. The fact that pieces from Collectors Brass are single cast pieces thus requiring no construction other than gluing on the ammo box or the tray it sits on offers A little easier construction, but you just have to be willing to accept the diffrence in scale. If the diffrence in scale is not that much of an issue with you, I would recomend them to you if you can get them. |
