Hi John,
Thanks mate, you comments as always are very much appreciated. I'm in the final stages of these two, the body for the 2nd commander arrived today and with a little alteration will fit the bill (thanks Steve).
I haven't seen many of these around in the modelling world but there is a fair bit of scope to model them further in land several days after the landings, wiht the drivers panel removed and even fitted with .50 cal MGs. Graham's new kit is excellent and so much easier to do than the older one although I enjoyed the challenge of both.
He has also produced new resin tracks that are excellent and fairly easy to work with. A new casting proces means that they are also straight and for resin very flexible.
Thanks for you comment on the figs, I've been trying to improve the finish, trying out some new things as always and generally having fun.
There is little done on this porject other that upgrading 2 of the boats with troops and loads and a general outline of the project.
If you have a look in the figures forum I posted a couple of pics of the troops on board and here's one with a carrier in it's home.
