Hi all , I have a new slant on the salt method used to simulate wear and scratches on paint work . Pitted Steel . As always use an old scrap part to pratice on first in my case a bonnet from a M 151 . Add water to the plastic with a cotton bud and sprinkle on the salt , leave the water to evaporate and then with a fine brush add liquid polly to the salted area again leave to evaporate and using mark one thumb nail scratch off the salt leaving you with pitted steel . give it a tyery this was my first attempt and it took less than 10 minutes in all. see scan cheers ian
