Static grass is one of those products that just works... Static electricity keeps the fibers standing upright, so all you have to do is spread the glue and sprinkle it on.

One of the drawbacks I find with it, is you end up with a manicured looking lawn. All the grass is about the same height. To avoid this look, I spread the glue in a sort of broken cammo pattern on the diorama base, and using gravel and sand to fill in the "other space" not used by the grass. Work in some tall grass too if you can. Verlinden use to carry a lone of tall grass, but you can use untwisted rope fibers.
