I too have experienced the shrinking effect of DML magic track on the 3 kits I have done with them so far, and I'm as puzzled as you are. I had to alter the sagging on the Elefant kit, add 1 link to each track on my pzkfw IA and play with the idler axle with my Dicker Max.
Now I'm in the painting phase on the DML JagdTiger and I pray it will fit ok because the 1 link addition can't do the trick this time.
I have built recently a Jagdpanther with Tamiya indi track links and the same thing happened too, I had to use a big amount of CA glue to land the track on the last 4 road wheels.
For now I have always assembled my tracks in 2 runs (top/bottom). maybe I should do it in 4 or 5. Could it be related also to the thickness of the paint?
