Thanks, I don't think Hobby-tac would be the way to go, but you could always give it a try.

And you can either mix paint in with base mix when you make it, or paint over the base before adding the glue and grass.

As a third alernative, you can use lots of washes of paint to stain the base after adding the grass, then paint the grass after you get the ground the color you want.

The good thing is that making bases and adding grass is not that hard, and the components are very cheap, so mistakes aren't too expensive to fix.
