What's a "mil"?

If you mean "millimetres" the standard abbreviation is "mm". 40 mm is 4 cm, or about 1.5 inches! That doesn't sound right, the wheels would be sticking up in the air??

Are you sure you don't mean 4mm (a bit less than 0.25 inch)?

If that's not what you mean ... then I don't know what a "mil" is supposed to represent.
