Hi, Scott
I first paint my links individually. When laying a straight line, I friction-fit a few (4-5) links together, then put a little bit of Tamiya extra-thin cement in the cracks between the links - capillary action will pull the cement most of the way along the cracks. You do not need much cement.
For the sag, you can measure the distance between the return rollers and pre-sag the upper track, or you can cement the entire upper length and, after the cement has set for a few minutes, you can now manipulate the length slightly, creating the sag before the cement fully hardens, as the partially set cement will hold the full length together. |
