| Subject: | Tamiya tracks | |

Tamiya traditionally had vinyl tracks, but up through the 70s and 80s they weren't gluable. You had to sew/staple/melt them together. In the 90s with their new tool King Tiger, Panther G, etc. they moved to a gluable vinyl. You would think they would go back and mold the old tracks in the new stuff, but no...
Newer Tamiya kits have link or link and length tracks as well as vinyl. The old SdKfz 250 had link and length back in the 70s. The new B1 Bis has links, as does the FAMO. The Stalin 2 and Hetzer have both link and length and vinyl tracks. The Tiger I late has gluable links, and Tamiya sells link sets for the Panther and King Tiger as well. |
