Hi
At the weekend , i came to decalling my DML Elefant , and decided to
try something new . As normal , i applied the markings to the kit over a
glossy surface , and allowed them to "set" . After just a few minites ,
they starded to silver slightly , so having no setting solution i tried
this ; using a small , soft brush , i painted a small amount of Humbrol
liquid Poly over the entire decal , which seemed to disolve the decal in
place , giving it a more "painted on" look . This worked fine for all
the decals including the crosses over the Zimmerit on the hull sides . I
thought id share this as it may seem a cheaper more conveniant solution
to silvering than Decal solutions , requiring just standard liquid poly
glue , and a delicate brush work (DONT put too much on !!).
Owen
