Torben, that twisted wire is mostly useless. I would suggest getting florists wire from a craft shop. It comes in at least three thicknesses from fine to heavy, is straight when you buy it, and shapes easily and holds shape without springing back. The thicker kinds are already "primed" a dark green. I see its "bendability" as a bonus since it is closer to scale strength, bends more naturally than hard wire, and many handles and guards show up as bent in photos of WW II armor in the field.
