Hi all,I am asked many times over at shows just how do you get all the discs to the same standard and how can you do this with alumium foil . The answer is many years ago I invested in a Multi Turreted hole punch , I bought it from a market stall selling leather items belts etc , this was its original use , punching holes in belts for the prong.
To use it , select the dia of disc required and the thickness of plastic card 20th is max .Place a scrap piece of cardboard on the brass anvil and then place the plastic card on top and press down hard. You never puch more than two discs at a time . All you need to remove the discs is a piece of wire and tap it from the opposite hole . out popps the discs all to the same dia and clean . sizes are 1.5mm in 0.5 mm increases up to 5mm. The same method is used for aluminium floil . see scan hope it helps . this was prompted by an email about the Big turret KV hull being incorrect on the front girder . cheers ian |
