Hi all

I'm working on an Italeri Sherman right now, and I have a couple of
questions:

1) There is a picture of an up-armored cast hull Sherman in Squadron's
M4 Sherman in Action book. I want to build an M4A1 like that. I have
made the armor, but I'm wondering about how it's attached to the hull.
The shot in the book is clear, but from one angle. There is what appears
to be a piece of metal welded to the hull supporting the flat piece of
added on armor (hmm, I guess one could call it a bracket...). That can't
be all that holds the armor on. Looking through my other references, the
expedient armor solutions I've seen are all on welded hull Shermans,
where I presume the armor is welded on also. So really I have two
questions here: a) any guesses on how the flat armor is attached to the
cast hull, and b) are there any other pictures of cast hull Shermans
uparmored?

2) Same tank, another question! I don't want to have the .50 cal mounted
on the turret roof, but stowed on the brackets on the turret bustle. I
don't have any good views of what the stowed MG looks like, and
furthermore, what do I do to the turret mount to put it in the "unused"
state?

Thanks

Andy
