If you must make it movable, i would try to thicken the hinge parts with some paint or white glue so they force fit. But working parts often brak or invite people to try to move them, and break them.

I did just finish a Skif MTLB and all the hatchs and doors fit snugly with thier hinges, so instead of glueing them, I just pressed them all in place, closed. If I do want one open, I can reposition them open and they will stay.
