Thanks guys.

Sorry Kurt, I meant the expedient uparmoring solution.

And I noticed how wierd that vehicle is. I've seen other pictures of odd
turret hatch configurations. That whole machine is very strange, and I'm
not trying to replicate it exactly. I'm building the vehicle behind that
one in the column which hasn't just taken a hit... ;-) Did you also
notice that the gun travel lock has been attached to the armor plate too,
Charby? Very odd.

So it looks like the .50 cal could be lifted off out of the way, but I'm
not sure what the turret mount would look like. Kurt, I'm sure your
description is complete, but I can't visualize it. Perhaps I'm not familiar
with all the terminology you are using. I guess I'm confused about which
parts on my kit make up the pintle. I know the Italeri parts are very
oversimplified, so there is just a hole for the MG post in the ring around
the hatches. Now, I'm sure this is some kind of retaining clip that needs
to be there, and I hope to be able to make a reasonable looking MG mount on
the roof. I have a few Tamiya Shermans to be built, and I'll have a look at
those for inspiration & spare parts!!.

Andy
