Actually, as far as I know, there was no tooling to speak of from TCI.
There was a big push at the Nuremburg toy show, but the only tangible
display was a resin T55 and some box art. Orders were placed but never
filled. To recoup some of the investment, a third party introduced the
owner of TCI, Tony Engelhart of AEF Designs fame, to Lindberg. The Lindberg
box art is the same as shown in the TCI flyer, and the kit is simply based
on that resin kit. It was an interesting saga with far reaching effects,
some of which I experienced first hand with MP Models.
