M578 Armored Recovery Vehicle.

This conversion was based on the Italeri M110 kit together with an old conversion kit from Verlinden. The conversion is OOP for several years now and is probably hard to find.
The Verlinden conversion came with a heavy resin turret and many PE parts.
The crane arm is all PE. Detail is good although the .50 gun mount still looks way to large to me.
I decided to build and paint it in during the Vietnam war period so using Olive Drab as the main colour. Since this vehicle is still in use with many armies more modern variations could be done.
Painting and wheatering was done with Tamiya acrylics.

Stay tuned! Coming up: the Elite Keiler mine clearance vehicle......
