bulkhead, and the other warnings will be heeded. The chassis rails have
enough hollws you could swim in them, for sure.
As for interior colours, a friend of mine states (I have no back up on
this, of course) that while the normal colour was the original basic
camo colour (Brown on the first vehicles, Khaki Drab on the later ones)
some gun crews took to personalizing their FATs. He was told by a gunner
in one regiment (I don't know which one, though) that they took great
delight in scavanging loud and bizarre colours for their interiors. From
duck egg blue to red to bright green, he says that they were quite garish.
The photos I have of preserved FATs and CMPS all have the interiors the
same as the original base camoflage colour.
