I first place masking tape behind small parts to be cut from the PE fret,
this way they don't become Airborne. Just carefully remove part from the
tape with your scalpel or knife blade. Also try cutting the PE fret on a
piece of MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), it has quite a hard surface but
will not blunt your cutting blades quite as quick as a solid none giving
surface.
