Not so. While you might be able to see it, that doesn't necessary mean you
can position the airbrush in such a way that it can reach the area. Even
worse, you can saturate the surrounding area with too much paint while
trying to get at the hard to reach spots. I ran into this problem when I
started painting my Tamiya 1/16 Kübel.

Some advance planning is needed to decide when to stop assembling and start
painting. Even if it means just applying a quick coat of the base colour in
the hard to reach area.
