Hi all,
Thanks for the compliments! The zimmerit is made with a tool that is made by JS Models in Finland. Picture of it can be found from the link below.
http://www.kolumbus.fi/martti.kuivalainen/ProdPics/JSModels/js19.jpg
Putty used was Zimm-it-Right but Magic Sculpt, A+B or anything like those works just fine. The trick is just to make the putty layer as thin as possible. Then use the stamp dipped to water.
Painting of then engine compartment was done with testors acrylics. Colours used were Rust, Primer (grey), Steel, Matt Black and Gloss Black. Effects were done with Rust and Hubroll dark grey with a 0000 size brush. Light wash with Burnt Sienna and Black oil colours. Same mixture was used for making some flow marks and stains. Pastel powder was used for the dust. Scrtaches and flow marks can be made to the dust with a small brush dpped to water or turpentine.
Kit used was the Revell Stug G late. Same chassis parts are used in some of Dragon's kits.
Th ekit is displayed with engine hatches open. It also has full interior and the fighting compartmemnt roof and brake hatches are open. Th emodel represents a Stuh 42 not a Stug G.
Best regards,
Jari |
