Depending on the project you're doing there's another alternative...Lego
tires! I'm using a set from one of their wheeled crane kits for a
futuristic Hetzer looking vehicle "inspired" by a similar looking
wheeled vehicle from the Battletech series. All rubber tires, and total
cost? 7-9 bucks (can't remember) plus some "extra" plastic parts for my
sci-fi dabblings. Only problem is the Lego logo on the tires, but
they've been easy to sand/get rid of so far.
