Hi Eric,

Print your map, etc. using a colour laser printer.

Draw or scan a map and size it to what you need. If you insert a graphic
into a MS Word document, you can specify the width and height to retain no
matter what the resolution of the printer. Or if you know the DPI of the
printer you'll be using, scale the image to a specific pixel with. For
exanple, 300 pixels wide if you want a 1" wide map on a 300DPI printer.

The map will be a bit shiny, so it might be wise to overspray it with flat
clear.

I simply put the MS Word file on a floppy and took it into Staples to get
printed ($3.00 + $0.75/page in Canada). I get my monies worth, I planned
ahead and packed a lot of images in the Word file. Maybe you have some JPGs
of propaganda posters you want printed in 1/35.

This is how I made my personalized license plate
(http://home.interlog.com/~khartlen/36202/Plate.jpg), book
(http://home.interlog.com/~khartlen/36202/Book.jpg) and map (sorry no pic
since its under the dash)
for my 1/16 Kübelwagen:
