The Mini-mite Dremel tool model 750 is a good one with 2 speeds. It will not melt the plastic. If you want the mini steel saw blades that Dremel doesn't make anymore due to a law suit, Micro-Mark has them,(www.micromark.com)along with hundreds of really nice modeling tools, and they come in really handy.
I work mostly with armor and have to scratch make a lot of parts. Flex tubes is a matter of choice.
